  • Kenneth Colbert - Good job on your video. This will help out a lot of people.I have my own bicycle shop at home and help people around the park I do all for free other than the parts they buy I install them makes me happy to help out riders.
  • TrueBlogge777 - These are easy to adjust on some 18 speed bikes there is another adjuster on the front sprocket indexer.
  • strangeloop - Thanks! my deraileur wasn't shifting into lower gears...it is now thanks to you!
  • nineball26 - nice hardware, sure beats my old costco altus from 93, meh I don't need all the gears, plus the stand was pinching the cable so I will go through it all again and pull the cable tighter for initial adjustment.. I wonder will your stuff be that clean in 20 years 30,000 miles? that bike sounds like it has the precision of a swiss watch, might be skeerd to hit a bump with that kind of gear.. also why are people picking up the french vocabulary on de-railer? 40 years ago it was a delrailer, now I hear people calling it a deraileur which is French, is shimano french? I'm not a frenchie so I call it a de-railer
  • wishstar99 - Yep, thank you for the video. My brand new mtb changes gear when i reverse pedal. I wanted to play with the derailleur but don't know what those screws are.
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks for the feedback!
  • Johnnysshop - Yeah, I would try this first. Usually takes care of all of it.
  • Allan Schuck - Finally, got the whole deal, I spent about 4 hours one night figuring out how to adjust high and low limits and what happens with cable adjustment in relation to shifting. The part I didn't have was the 'B' screw adjustment, only thing I did with it was to make sure the derailer and cassette didn't bash into each other. My adjustments are 'dead-nuts', shifts are snappy, but the crank jumps when when the shift happens, now, at last I know why. Going out to tune right now, thank you very much!
  • Steve Blair - Thanks 4 this vid.
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!
  • Johnnysshop - If it's a lower end model that may just be the norm. If it;s a mid-high end it might just need adjusted. Is the spring on the lower cage really soft?
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! Yes, many professionals will pretty much make fun of my method but it has always worked form me.
  • sashonel - Very nice how to and explaining.
  • Kouta710 - Thanks alot! but umm.. it wont go on the last and first gear if i can i can only make it go to the last and not the first gear.
  • Jim Starks - Thanks for the video. Just bought a bie and only 3-4 gears work so I knowit needs adjustment. Your video is better then the Mongoose manual. Very helpful.
  • Todd Jones - all videos should be explained & shown like this, you made the adjustments super easy
  • Johnnysshop - It's on the right, the bike is upside down.
  • Johnnysshop - Awesome!
  • BombDiggady - Thank you for putting everything in a step-by-step format and using layman's terms. You are the only poster to have mentioned the "B" screw, which in turn has helped me to figure out what I was doing incorrectly. Again, thank you for posting an extremely helpful video.
  • Johnnysshop - :)
  • Johnnysshop - True. I may have mentioned it backwards in the vid.
  • Jarrid Cockey - Is it he same way if you own a 21 speed tony hawk bike
  • twovikings abroad - i dont have that screw thing on my bike at 04:05 the fine tune screw... any ideas?
  • Johnnysshop - Awesome!
  • Carlos Villar - my gears keep changing without me actually shifting. I will try this hopefully it will help... cause I hear the bike shop charges 50 bucks for tune ups...
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks for watching!
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks!
  • Danielle Lascelles - I was pissed when i busted my bike. This is the greatest Derailleur video I have seen. My chain came off and I had no idea how to fix it. Well, now I know thanks to your detailed, step by step, completely idiot proof video. I like how you also show us what it's like when it isn't adjusted properly. We know what it sounds like, looks like and how to fix it either way. I sincerely appreciate it. Great video!
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks!
  • ohiovikingsue - Did I miss it? What do I do with the front screw adjuster while I ride it? Thanks :) ........and thank you for the video, gonna try this.
  • Johnnysshop - Awesome!
  • BEYBLADEamvvideos - my bike cannot stand on the lowest gear it always loud when its on yhe lowest gear
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks for watching!
  • TheOdjebjelansiran - Can you please help me?I have slx rear derailleur and it shifts great but when i jump off a curve or a stair its really noisy. When my bike was new i didnt have that problem.I dont know what happened because i never fell off my bike and its only 3 months old.I have the chainstay protector so thats not the problem. Please tell me what can i do. Thanks
  • Johnnysshop - Thanks!
  • DRtuwshin mask - wooooww goood
  • Johnnysshop - LOL.. Yeah, it was just easier to film like this.
  • chinook156 - Great tut. One question. Should you start with shifter adj fully out, or fully in?
  • Johnnysshop - Yeah, just fine tune it. If you have a bent cage or something you will never get it right though.

  • Dla was polecam, zobaczcie sami: (nic nie ma do polecenia).
