- HAK HARRIS - I think the bear strategically placed the branch over the trail to catch riders. It was a "Bear trap" hahahahaha. I guess you can say he.. BEARly got away hahahahahaha hahahaha I have no friends :-(
- omar Knight - a bear can run up to 37mph that's why you don't run from them. On a fast racing bicycle, a reasonably fit rider can ride at 31mph on flat ground for short periods. Other than the bear looking fake, that statistic alone would lead me to believe that he would have not been able to escape that bear.
- Vega Scagnetti - Could be fake. The lighting of the bear and the proportion of the bear while chasing him seems off.

- Theophilus200 - Wow! I wonder how many of the people here saying 'fake' have ever seen a bear close up in the wild, never mind get chased by one. It's easy to theorize about how this or that would happen until.... it happens! I saw bear once in the wilds in NM, 50 or 60m away, but not this close and not chasing me! All it had to do was sniff the wind and look in my direction and that - and its two cubs climbing down from the tree next to it - was hint enough for me to start leaving quickly. You must have been glad you were on a bike, no way would you have outrun it on foot. I heard gunshots at the end that seemed to have spooked the bear and caused it to run off - luckily there's always someone around doing a spot of shooting! You had a close shave, man!

- Rick Mynatt - OK people, if you take a real good look as someone showed me at 19 and 20 seconds you can clearly see the bear chasing him, but if you notice the bear is in total focus while everything else isn't! This is a product of CGI, and then if you watch when you hear the shots at the end you see the real bear and you can clearly tell the difference! Hence the video of the chase isn't real!! Sorry everyone!!!
