Clint Gibbs - +William Smith, you do not have to lube the shocks. This gets done when
doing the routine air sleeve maintenance (rear shock) and oil change (front
shock).
+Asim dahal, this is the same cleaning method I use on both my mountain
bikes, my cyclocross bike, and my road bike.
Jim Stewart - For us novice bikers, can you please define/identify a little better where
NOT to get water? You mention bearings in general, and specifically refer
to the "bottom bracket", "headset", and "hubs". Excellent video - thanks
for your efforts to educate.
Manuel Hernandez - WOULD WD-40 WORK FOR LUBING THE CHAINS?
Amarildo Junior - Too much lube, it will attrack dust particles that will act as a sandpaper
and will destroy your chain sooner. Put a drop on every link and then scrub
the rest with a towel.
CarbTheVeganUp - Good cleaning, but you can use some ECO friendly stuff ! ;)
Robert Brown - That is one serious bike. Just bought my first full sus, looking forward to
getting it dirty, and then clean after of course!
BoysToys - "nice and sudsy" got me laughing
Bryan Dempsey - What about just taking your bike to a hand-operated car wash and just power
wash everything off in a minute or two with no hand scrubbing at all?
That's what I'm gonna try this morning, anyway ...
Vikramaditya D - Pretty good demonstration. I liked the way you tried to manage the camera
as well. :-)
大猩猩 GORILLA'S CYCLING GOPRO CONNECTION - THAT BIKE IS BAD ASS DUDE ! AND YOUR EXPLANATION ARE VERY CLEARLY ! THANK
YOU SO MUCH !
evoking12345 - i use a top spec pressure washer, karcher k4 i think, works great for
bikes
dseed - freakin great video mate, informative and htd (how to do) in once. Video
like this is why youtube is great. i know the video over two years old but
so much good content in both the updated version and this is gold for
noobs. gotta take care of my pimped trek remedy 7 and was not aware how
much dirt the bike collects after being off trail for 15 years. Great vid
Clint. :)
anthonyshealy - I like how you have the grip tape on the lower part of the frame. I'm
stealing that, thanks! Lol
sunny - thanks for the information.Very helpful
Richard Seffer - what kind of brakes are on it?
Caveman Al Toraboran - Hi is there any scratch on your bike?
Brian Burke - This is well done, with lots of good information. But it is a tad wasteful
of water, at least it would be out here in the west, and in an urban
setting, the oil and grit could run off into city gutters to pollute rivers
and the ocean. Maybe a part three for green apartment dwellers.
cole_dillan_sprouse@yahoo. com Laurentiu - where can I buy a bike like this? a website? Please...What model is this?
Helen Cherry Monte - Thank you. Simply thank you. I watched both "clean" videos & I was able
to wash both my bikes - my new (to me!) road bike & mtn bike, which, to my
chagrin, I realized as I was washing today I have not washed since buying
her earlier this year! Most of the equipment I was able to get @ my local
$1 store, and I used an old toothbrush to get in the chain & gear areas.
What a difference! Still learning here, but thanks to you, felt like I
knew what I was doing!
Jacob Huang - for getting it dry why dont you just leave it out to air try
imagineak - I need help, I'm sorry, I don't know much about bicycles, I recently bought
myself a full suspension bike to roam the road and woods. The guy I bought
it from, I didn't like the seat and he put me a suspension seat that moves
up and down, but I already have suspension on the base of bike. Is that
good or should I buy a new seat that doesn't have suspension? I mean it's a
mountec and instead of having a regular tin seat it has a suspension big
seat. I need a good advice, thanks!
MotorcrossRacer1 - great video. how come you have rubber tyraped on your bike frame by the
chain?
Karen George - good guide to cleaning bikes quickly
thechosendude - Out of curiosity, what's the weight of your Niner? Thanks!
Max Hane - i like your bike
deepak narayan - Do you spray the drive train with simple green before or after hosing it?
locs - Thanks 4 da great video!!!
theflyerpr40d - Good video.
Question, what the best way to make sure that inside the big hole on the BB
water wont rust in there. I'm talking the hole that you can see from side
to side. I was able to use a piece of paper towel in there but im afraid it
may still have some water drop size. Could I spray wd40 in there or should
I use corrosion x?
I don't have air compressor.
Casper Iversen - can u tell me what i need of only nessesary tools and cleaning product such
as chain oils and everything else,
im livin in denmark, so i maybe need to know if the same products ur
telling me names of is buy able here in my country as well..
love ur bike, great colors, and everything,
c tu - nice video however do you really need to clean dirt bike like a surgeons
knife? :)
trevor smith - The rubber tape on the frame is so when he's jumping around and the chain
smacks the frame it doesn't dent/scratch the frame.
Sam Wallace - at 13:38 I see what looks like a baseball bat grip. What's the padding here
for?
timber gleeson - be aware of disc brakes I have lost a finger on them.
Dan the man - I've always cleaned my dirt bike with purple cleaner. No scrubbing or any
of that. Looks brand new afterwards.
Hans Müller - Kette nur putzen.nicht ölen.
Dann hält sie auch länger :-)
techorix - dont forget to remove the excess lube after lubing the chain. too much lube
will collect dirt
Michael Kish - I'm an average mountain bike ,but I want to get more into it. I just bought
a XR75 21speed MONGOOSE. This is a very cool and tough at the same time.
I'd like to get a bike mount to clean my bike. I too am a clean freak. Can
you tell me where to pick one up at? Please get back to me when you get
this or when you can. This was a great video and helped a lot. Thank You.
viridae - Hi Clint, is that a silicon lubricant spray you are using?
Ryan Wilt - I ride a carbon niner as well!! just got it and im in love! Hardtail though
:) can we still be friends! HAHA good video man!
