- Erwin Sniedzins - There is passion and then there is Love. Love for your daughter who was normal at birth and later started to regression. Why? What is happening? Years of seeing doctors to understand the why but still no answers. Then by chance reading an article that described symptoms that your daughter has. Could this be what happened? Finally it was confirmed. Yes, it is Rett Syndrome. A huge relief to know it was nothing we had done to cause the regression. It was fate and genetic. What does someone do when they discover a part of the riddle? Search for the cause and hopefully a cure. Here passion took ahold as I explored hundreds of avenues to come up with something that would help to make a difference. When I did I called it the Climb for Hope. 20 years later I am climbing again with another vision. Another purpose. This time it is for the people of Toronto so that we can stop in fighting and build 9 subway lines for mobility and prosperity. This time it is just as hard to summit the Toronto Mount.
- Erwin Sniedzins - Now I'm climbing Mt. Toronto City Hall to bring a 50 yr vision for 9 circular subways, affordable housing for 300,000 families, 200 Km of dedicated city bike trails, 4500 new jobs, 8% growth. Everyone can see the top of Mt. Everest but not everyone can see what it takes to have a 50 year vision and the steps needed to make it so.
